Watt Memorial Trust
The Watt Trust was set up in 1983 in memory of Rob Watt (S1911-16) and his wife Barbara. He was a distinguished OF, whose teaching career ended with eleven years as Rector of the Edinburgh Academy (1951-62). In retirement he returned to his old school, where he was Keeper of the Fettes Register until 1979.

The aim of the Trust is to give financial assistance to past and present members of Fettes and the Edinburgh Academy, to enable them to “advance their education or professional training beyond the point at which public funds or university scholarships are available, or when private or family sources alone are not quite adequate for the purpose.”

Latest rugby news
During the last season the 1st XV played 27 games in the league and cup and won 14 of them. They completed their last match on Tuesday 12th May, beating Heriots 33-27. It was a fine end to the season and the whole team played well.

It has been a mixed season for the 2nd XV with regard to results, but the overall development of the team has been good. They finished mid table in their division with 9 wins - an improvement on last years tally of 6 wins.

The Blues (3rd XV) and Whites (4th XV) had a challenging season. They not only had to feed the Accies 2nd XV but also had to feed Broughton 1st XV and the BATs Development Team. The Blues, in Division 4, however, managed do the club proud and finished second in their league. The Whites, in Division 5, were the only 4th XV in their league and finished a creditable fourth.
